U.S.ATROCITY
7"
released on March 20, 2004
Anniversary of the US bombing of Baghdad-
dedicated to the dead, and those who contine to suffer from the most
recent unjust, capitalist, illegal, empire-making fucking war!
"Support
the troops is what they say when they send them off to fight. To die
for oil and power, and emperor's delight. Liberation is what they said,
but all I see is death."

"The
third EP from Boston's THE PROFITS blows away all their previous releases
by a long shot! Killer old-school punk rock, with a heavy 80's UK influence,
which means powerful and melodic songs, memorable sing-along chorus
lines, and plenty of raw anger. The extremely political lyrics are delivered
in trade off between male and female vocalists, but are backed up by
the full band to bring the words home on the chorus parts. This is exciting
new material from a band which has gone more than a year since their
last release. Highly recommended!" (DS)

"I
remember Mike T. saying he hoped the election of George Bush would inspire
a new generation of punks to stand up and be heard. Well, here's the
PROFITS giving a nice big "Fuck You" to our fearless leader.
Solid hardcore with back and forth male and female vocals with an agenda
of "speaking out, having fun, and kicking this unjust system in
the face." Right fucking on. (DP)
-MaximumRocknRoll, Sept. 2002
"Awesome
political punk from Boston fronted by dual female and male vocals and
an anti-government, anti-Bush, anti-war stance (and sound-bites.) Their
sound is heavy, tight and played fast with a good amount of thick distortion
and a driving pummeling energy that also manages quite a bit of catchy
bouncing energy. This is an awesome band. I love hearing them on each
new release. Solid, powerful, political punk." (Chris) ****

"Right
fucking on! Kick ass hardcore/street punk from Boston about topics more
poignant today as ever before. This album provides a wonderful soundtrack
to the obnoxious sight of 95% of the USA flipping through the bullshit
media hype about why we should all sit idly by flying our flags while
Bu$h fucks the Islamic world in the ass with his SuperCapitalist hot
poker. In the vein of CRASS and other left wielding voices of truth.
The PROFIT$ see through the lies and try and help you do the same. So,
if you think this is a "War on Terrorism," wake the fuck up
and buy this record." (EM)

"When
I first got this CD I got really hooked on it and consequently it was
one that I've listened to a whole bunch. They play a really straight-forward
style of punk rock that leans to a very '77 type style. Clean and rockin'
with a tight energy. There are male and female vocals- again clear and
a bit snotty. The lyrics are good- intelligent with a political slant.
It's got a rockin' tempo without being "rock" at all, in fact
it's totally straight up punk and I really like this band! Few bands
these days seem to get their style this straight up without some genre
gimmick- and I like that The Profits have the dual m/f vocals, a punchy
punk energy that is also catchy and rockin' and with good lyrics. So
simple to weave that all together and so damn good!" (Chris) -Slug
and Lettuce, November 2000
"A
twenty one track full length debut from this Boston-based political
punk rock band. Musically old school punk circa UK '82 with alternating
male and female vocals and a good sing-along sound."
