The Profits "Dying for Dollars" 7"

The Profits' second release, "Dying for Dollars" was recorded in the bitter cold of January 2001, the winter after Bush stole the Presidential election. We literally drove through a New England blizzard to record once again at Rodent Popsicle! We fit six songs on a 7" record, including "4 More Years," "Mom & Pops," "Violent Fringe" and the hopeful "From Day One." We took this record to Minneapolis and back during our summer tour of 2001.

The city quotes the G.N.P. With incorporated real estate the independents suffocate. Taking the old shops away, replacing them with chains, catering to the upper class -there’s better capital gains. THE RENT IS DUE! Taking away the neighborhoods - the personality - they don’t care who gets crushed by their money wheel.
