The Profits new 7" record "U.S. Atrocity" was released March 20.
A year ago, the first bombs of "Operation Iraqi Freedom" dropped on Baghdad. Since then, thousands of Iraqi women, men and children, and hundreds of American soldiers have lost their lives as a result of the war.

In Iraq, people are trying to rebuild their lives and country under a yoke of US occupation. In the US, billions are spent on guns as the poor go hungry, the economy crumbles, and war is used as a hammer to suppress dissent.

All for the interests of the oil companies, war profiteers and power-hungry politicians. Fuck them all!!

This record is dedicated to the dead, and also the living who fight for a better world for all of us.

"U.S.Atrocity" will also be released by Active Distribution in Europe as part of The Profits discography CD.
Thanks so much to Active for taking this project on. You can see their site at www.activedistribution.org. They are quite an active lot in London, with an enormous distro. catalogue of good bands, a record label, publishing radical literature, and working with the 56@ radical inforshop in London.

A month before the war started, over 30 million people internationally protested against a US attack. Seeing the massive protests in London, Paris, Berlin, Rome and around the world was inspiring, and I felt in solidarity with so many people as we took to the streets in Boston. It will be great to share our music with people across the pond, and this October we are going on European tour. Punk and solidarity have no borders!

Love, Erika Ransom

Lyrics and more art will be up soon.
